  • esw-g-devnotes Blizzard's beta development notes of 1 Oct 2026 opened it as "New Dungeon - Excavation Site: Wetlands (26-31)". OficialBlizzard forums
  • esw-g-fc-guardian ForeverChanges: the Relic Guardian drops his threat and changes target during the fight; damage dealers slow down when the tank loses him, and the tank takes him back at once. ComunidadForeverChanges
  • esw-g-fc-horror ForeverChanges: the Highland Horror stands in a Dragonmaw camp whose groups pull apart easily, so take them one at a time first; the fight itself is short. ComunidadForeverChanges
  • esw-g-fc-saltspine ForeverChanges: nothing special seen in the Saltspine fight beyond his hits and a large health pool; he roams the marsh at the start among elite crocolisks, so clear them first or pull him away from them. ComunidadForeverChanges
  • esw-g-fc-shadetooth ForeverChanges: small raptors jump out of the grass as you walk through and make you bleed; kill every raptor of the wave before Shadetooth arrives (one group wiped on its first try with him and several raptors on it); the tank is feared several times, and Tremor Totem helps. ComunidadForeverChanges
  • esw-g-fdb-route ForeverDB: leave Loch Modan through the Dun Algaz tunnel and turn west; the Meeting Stone is almost straight ahead, and a small path climbs the mountainside to the entrance. ForeverDB puts the entrance at 24.5, 73.4 on the Wetlands map, its own match: the only instance portal on that route in the client. ComunidadForeverDB
  • esw-g-legacy-crit In achievement 62031 (Novice Spelunker) the Excavation Site: Wetlands step is criteria 116054: kill creature 260326, the Relic Guardian. DataminadoBlizzard client data (wago.tools viewer)

  • esw-g-m-camp Method: Dragonmaw Saboteurs throw bombs at an area you can step out of once you see the throw; Warders use Mortal Strike (healing taken -50%) and Net (10 sec root, which a Paladin's Blessing of Freedom breaks); each Thaumaturgist casts Immolate and Curse of Weakness and comes with a fire elemental: kill the elemental first. ComunidadMethod
  • esw-g-m-guardian Method: the Relic Guardian is the final boss, level 31, woken at a Titan Control Panel beside him; attacks miss and get dodged more, so threat can slip; Thunderclap slows attack speed, Arcing Smash is a frontal cleave (face him away), Knock Away lowers threat, War Stomp knocks back and stuns nearby players (ranged stay away); he can be stunned and slowed, so he can be kited. ComunidadMethod
  • esw-g-m-horror Method: the Highland Horror is an Alliance-only quest boss with no loot; he uses Entangling Roots and Wild Regeneration; the only real risk is pulling the slimes around him by accident. ComunidadMethod
  • esw-g-m-location Method: the Meeting Stone stands at the base of the mountain near the Dun Algaz entrance and you climb up from there; Alliance come from Thelsamar or Menethil Harbor, Horde make a slightly longer trip from Hammerfall in the Arathi Highlands. ComunidadMethod
  • esw-g-m-saltspine Method: Saltspine is the first boss; his main ability, Dust Storm, greatly lowers the tank's threat; he also uses Fatal Bite and Tendon Rip; he patrols the edge of the crocolisk lake, and pulling him together with other enemies can be too much for the tank and healer. ComunidadMethod
  • esw-g-m-shadetooth Method: Shadetooth patrols the whole raptor path with two Thicket Hunters and hits hard; Terrifying Roar can fear you into packs hidden in the tall grass, so put Tremor Totem or Fear Ward on the tank, or clear the grass first; Rend deals about 77 every 3 sec; he enrages at 20% health (+30% attack speed, +15 physical damage). ComunidadMethod
  • esw-g-m-spiders Method: Highland Spiders are non-elite and come in packs of three; Highland Lurkers poison their target and add Highland Venom; cure the disease and the poison quickly. ComunidadMethod
  • esw-g-m-thicket Method: Young Riptooths come in packs of three (focus them one by one rather than with full AoE); Thicket Lurkers and Thicket Stalkers hide in the tall grass, unseen until they attack; Thicket Hunters' Infected Wound is a disease to cleanse; Thicket Matriarchs' Rend Flesh is a strong bleed. ComunidadMethod
  • esw-g-official Blizzard (20 Oct 2026): Excavation Site is a level 24 to 29 dungeon near Thelgen Rock and Dun Algaz in the Wetlands, beyond the dig at Whelgar's Excavation. OficialBlizzard

ComunidadForeverChanges
  • esw-g-quests-h Method: Horde take Changing Tastes from Borstan in Orgrimmar and Open the Maw from a Deathstalker Agent in the Wetlands, after the breadcrumb Dragonmaw Rumors from Zaruk in Hammerfall (Arathi Highlands); Elder Knowledge comes from the Relic Guardian. ComunidadMethod
  • esw-g-relic ForeverChanges: the Titan Relic drops from the Relic Guardian and starts Elder Knowledge (Horde) or Lost Relic Carry (Alliance). ComunidadForeverChanges

More about this dungeon
