Blackmaw Hold New

  • Level55-60
  • Group5
  • Final bossVarrox Bleakhoof

A new dungeon for levels 55-60: a great furbolg city in Azshara, built as a long max-level adventure with many routes. Sealed until launch.

Getting in

  • In Azshara, beyond a long-sealed gate that was once an unused entrance to Timbermaw Hold.[1][2]
  • An entrance to The Barrow Deeps raid (10 players, opens 9 Dec 2026) connects through Blackmaw Hold.[5][1]

Level

  • Official range 55-60. Comfortable at 60 but open a bit earlier; built for one long session, maybe not all quests at once.[4][2][3]

Bosses

  • The Blackmaw furbolgs fight a corruption spreading through their groves and tunnels; expect corrupted furbolgs and demons.[1][2]
  • Final boss: Varrox Bleakhoof, from the client's achievement statistics. The rest is encrypted until launch.[6]

Legacy

  • Counts for Master Spelunker: beat the final boss of every level 46-60 dungeon for 1 account-wide Legacy Point.[7][8]

Changed in Forever

  • NewNew in Forever: a great furbolg city and a substantial max-level adventure.[1]

Tips

  • Bigger footprint than Blackrock Depths, with lots of verticality, a non-linear layout, multiple routes and many secrets.[2][3][1]

  • How the path to The Barrow Deeps works, and whether it needs anything.
  • Whether the datamined furbolg-named item set drops here.
