Level

  • Group Finder: Lower Blackrock Spire 55-60, Upper Blackrock Spire 59-60.[1]

Bosses

  • The client lists 14 encounters, from Highlord Omokk to General Drakkisath, plus Lord Valthalak.[1]

Loot

  • ChangedLoot was re-itemized for Forever: unique boss drops are now blue (Rare) and new items were added across dungeons.[6]

Quests

  • Horde Onyxia attunement: Warlord's Command and For the Horde! (Warchief Rend Blackhand's head) lead through Lower Blackrock Spire.[3]
  • For both factions, a late attunement step takes the Blood of the Black Dragon Champion from General Drakkisath in Upper Blackrock Spire.[3]

Legacy

  • Lower and Upper are separate Master Spelunker entries; the Lord Valthalak dungeon set questline is worth 1 more point.[4][5]

Changed in Forever

  • Still a 10-player dungeon, the only one in Forever; every other dungeon is capped at 5.[1][2]
  • ChangedThe files give it a daily lockout, which Classic Era's files did not have. Blizzard has not said how servers use it.[1][2]
Not known yet (4)
  • How the daily lockout works on live servers.
  • Whether Upper Blackrock Spire still needs a key, as Classic-sourced data suggests.
  • The steps of the Lord Valthalak questline in Forever (only its first and last quests are known).
  • Forever's quests, loot and boss abilities here: so far only Classic-sourced lists exist, which may not apply.
